Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Dove & Lilly will supply you with our bespoke stationery products and services. They form a legally binding agreement between you (the customer) and us (Dove & Lilly) – so please take a moment to read them carefully.

We believe in clear communication and kind service, and these terms are designed to protect both you and us, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.

1. Company Details

In these terms:

  • “we”, “our”, “us” refer to Dove & Lilly Ltd
  • “you”, “your” and “the customer” refer to the person placing the order
  • “the service” refers to the design, production and supply of your bespoke stationery

2. Placing Your Order

2.1 Orders can be placed by phone, email, or via our website.
2.2 Once we confirm your order and receive full payment, a binding contract will be formed and work will begin.
2.3 These Terms & Conditions override any terms provided by you unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1 All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
3.2 Prices are confirmed at the time of ordering and will not change for confirmed orders.
3.3 Full payment is required before we begin any design or production work.
3.4 Any special requests or additions outside our standard packages may incur extra charges, which will be agreed with you before work proceeds.
3.5 Payment can be made by bank transfer or debit/credit card

4. Customisation & Additional Charges

4.1 Our bespoke design service includes tailoring colours, themes, and motifs to your preferences within our standard design process.
4.2 Additional custom pages, images, handwritten elements, or unique layouts will incur extra charges.
4.3 A £40 charge applies for an additional bow on the front of an order of service, which requires hand delivery to your funeral director to ensure proper presentation if local to Birmingham area.
4.4 Requests for extra copies must be made in advance, and additional costs will apply depending on quantity and printing needs.

5. Approval & Printing

5.1 We will send you a digital proof (PDF) for final approval before printing.
5.2 It is your responsibility to carefully check all details (spelling, names, dates, content).
5.3 Any errors discovered after approval are your responsibility, and changes after printing may incur additional costs.
5.4 We cannot be held responsible for any mistakes in hymn lyrics, readings, or prayers supplied by you or third parties.

6. Delivery & Timelines

6.1 Standard turnaround is up to 3 working days from final approval (excluding delivery time).
6.2 Orders can be delivered to you directly or to your funeral director.
6.3 While we always work hard to meet agreed deadlines, we cannot be held liable for delays caused by courier services, late proof approvals, or events beyond our control.
6.4 Urgent requests may be possible at our discretion and may incur an express service fee.

7. Refunds, Cancellations & Amendments

7.1 Due to the personalised nature of our products, refunds are not available once printing has started.
7.2 If you wish to cancel before printing, we may offer a partial refund, deducting the cost of any design work already completed.
7.3 Any amendments after work has started may incur an admin fee of £25 plus any additional material costs.
7.4 All cancellations must be made in writing (email is fine).

8. Customer Responsibilities

8.1 You are responsible for providing accurate information and reviewing proofs promptly.
8.2 We recommend responding to proofs within 24 hours to avoid production delays.
8.3 Late approvals may result in delayed delivery for which we cannot be held responsible.

9. Copyright

9.1 All designs created by Dove & Lilly remain our copyright.
9.2 You may not reproduce our designs without our written permission.
9.3 We retain the right to reuse design concepts in future projects, but never your personal information or photographs without your consent.

10. Liability

10.1 We take great care to deliver beautiful, high-quality stationery.
10.2 Our maximum liability to you will be limited to the value of the order you have paid for.
10.3 We are not responsible for indirect losses, including emotional distress, missed funeral deadlines due to late proof approvals, or courier delays.

11.1 We may photograph your stationery for our portfolio, social media, or marketing purposes.
11.2 We will never display personal details such as full names or addresses without your permission.
11.3 If you prefer us not to use images of your order, please let us know when you place your order.

13.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.
13.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
